THE MISSION

I’ve been fortunate enough to travel and enjoy the beauty of nature.  With the camera as an extension of myself, I like to capture images of natural settings and to develop fine art prints as a personal tribute to what moved me during my visual journeys.  During the production process I re-live my experiences, and I also appreciate that I can use the resulting photography prints to share my work.  I am most honored when my pieces are inspiring enough to be used by others, whether that’s on the walls of people’s homes, or as displayed pieces in art galleries.

Photographic portfolios include images from an African Safari, the Botanic Gardens, Vermont, Maine, Rhode Island, New Mexico and the NJ Shore. Each portfolio includes close-ups, vignettes and landscape photographs.

Only archival printing and framing materials are used for each final piece of art. Different print papers are considered for each image with the final selection being determined by media proofing review.

My artwork has been selected for single and multiple artist exhibits, promotional documents, and covers for brochures.  Photographic prints from a number of my portfolios have received awards at multiple Juried Shows.

UPCOMING EXHIBIT - The Visual Arts Center of NJ, www.njcva.org, has selected my artwork for a single artist exhibit to be held at the Gallery of The Summit Library, www.summitlibrary.org, for the months of December '09 and January '10.

THE ARTIST STATEMENT- Visual Arts Center of NJ Gallery at The Summit Library Exhibit

America is vast and its topography, botany, and geography are wide-ranging. Images from the Southwest and Northeast  are an indication of the variety of beauty within our country. The calmness of the Hudson River in upstate New York is as beautiful as, but different from the rapids of the Rio Grande River in New Mexico. The jagged Maine coastline shows the black granite rock formations, while the mountainous New Mexico landscape provides views of the red rock formations. Both panoramas show off the natural untouched rugged landscapes of their areas with different colors, textures and vegetation.

These images of landscapes, scenery, and nature from Southwest and Northeast America are the moods I present in my artwork for this exhibit.

Enjoy!!!!
