Bill Glasofer, camera in hand and with his guide, enters areas where others will not venture in order
to photograph wildlife in its natural habitat.

Bill made sure to incorporate art appreciation courses into his curriculum while obtaining degrees from Brooklyn Tech and Stevens Institute of Technology. These courses, along with his subsequent training and lab work at The Visual Arts Center in New Jersey, have provided him with the necessary background from which he has gone on to pursue excellence in nature photography.
In his early work, Bill focused primarily on black and white film photography. As a student of Ansel Adams zone system photography, Bill completed photographic studies of several national landmarks including Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and the Grand Canyon.
Since then, he has traveled to more distant corners of the world to capture nature on both black and white, and color film. He completed a collection of photographs of the indigenous plants, animals, and people of Costa Rica. In fact, by the end of his Costa Rican tour, the natives, after seeing his photographic skills and acumen, fondly and simply referred to Bill as “Man of Nature”.
More recently, Bill has been photographing, editing, and developing pictures in digital format. Last July, he visited Africa to engage in a photographic study of Kenya and Tanzania and is currently preparing a book of his photos to be entitled, “Faces of Africa”. This book will include a forward by Bill’s selected biographer, the renowned Dr. Gabe Miller.
Bill’s work, including his photograph titled “Sid and The Pitch”, have previously been entered in juried shows and have been spotlighted for viewings in the same room as the winning photographs. Recent photographic kudos includes Bill selection as the official photographer for the Judah Macabee Marcus Bris.
Bill has dedicated all of his work to his wife, Linda, who considers him (much like his photography) a work in progress. Bill currently lives in Short Hills, NJ and is the proud father of Matt, Sid and Debs and father-in-law of Yael and Dina. His current exhibit is proudly displayed at The Tennyson Galleries.
